Our Journey

Depending on who you ask, we will say that our journey was started by our father or our grandfather. We will go on by saying that he was succeeded by our our brother, uncle, father. Regardless of the titles we use, we are all referring to the same two men, Bror and Jhonny Husell.

THE BEGINNING

A seaman steps ashore in the 1960s

Bror Husell, a sailor and captain, started his first shipping company back in 1964. A company later known as Bror Husell Chartering. Over the years the company evolved, later further developed by his son Jhonny Husell. In 2005 the company was divested. The main family business was always accompanied by numerous other adventurous ventures and businesses. A heritage we are continuing today.

Our Journey So Far

1964

Bror Husells Rederier is founded

In 1964 Bror Husell founded Bror Husells Redierier (Bror Husell Shipping Companies).

1971

The birth of Birka Line

Bror Husell founds the cruise company Birka Line where he remained as CEO until 1974.
